Meet Your Greater Fairfax North FCA Staff:
Justice Montgomery was born in Orlando, Florida, where he attended Orlando Christian Prep. While there, he was a part of winning two state championships during his freshman and junior seasons. Beginning his sophomore year, Justice was part of leading worship as a member of the praise band and was the high school chaplain during his senior year. After high school, Justice attended American University in D.C. where we was involved in FCA and became the huddle leader in his sophomore year. He was a full scholarship student-athlete for AU’s men’s basketball team (Division I) and a freshman member of the 2014 team that won the Patriot League conference tournament. After two years at AU, Justice transferred to Cedarville University (Division II) where he continued his collegiate career as a student-athlete. In his senior year, Justice was a team captain and was awarded the Ryan Reep Servant Award. This award was voted on by his teammates in acknowledgment of his service to them. In May 2017, Justice graduated from Cedarville University with his B.A. in Business Management and a minor in Bible. Justice serves as Area Director for the Greater Fairfax Area. After a couple of internships with the worship ministry and an internship with FCA, he felt God calling him back to the Northern Virginia/DC area for full time ministry. Specifically, Justice desires to be a part of transforming lives for the glory of God through sports ministry and feels NOVA is where God will use him.
Jillian is originally from Kansas City, Missouri, and recently moved to NOVA with her family. Jillian made a decision for Christ at the age of 9 while at summer camp and has been growing in her faith ever since. Throughout high school and college, Jillian was involved in and served as a leader for youth Bible studies, weekends, and camps. She has also been a part of several missions teams, both national and international, and would love for God to open the door to more missions opportunities in the future. Jillian graduated from Park University in 2010 with a B.A. in English Literature and worked as a legal assistant in both family and creditor’s rights law for several years. Jillian has been married to her high school sweetheart, Matt, for 8 years and the couple have two sweet, energetic little boys, to whom Jillian is a stay-at-home-mom. Her eldest son has recently become involved with soccer, and Jillian is looking forward to cheering on her boys in whatever sports and activities they pursue in the future. Jillian is excited to be working for and with FCA to further the message of Christ in the schools and community of Greater Fairfax and beyond.
Jesse Flaherty, born in Oceanport, New Jersey, was raised by two FCA staff parents with four older siblings. Following in his father's and siblings' footsteps, he attended Red Bank Catholic High School. There he played football, basketball, and baseball, but, after undergoing a critical spinal fusion surgery and spending a year apart from sports, Jesse was able to play again, competing in basketball his junior and senior years, and football his senior year. After graduating in 2013, he attended The Peddie School as a post-graduate for one year. Jesse was a leader of the FCA Huddle at his high school and started a Christian Fellowship Club at his prep school. Flaherty was recruited to play football at Wagner College in Staten Island, New York, and studied history and religion. Jesse earned a starting role at free-safety and was awarded a full-scholarship after his red-shirt sophomore season. He achieved placement on the Northeast Conference Academic Honor Roll three years in a row and was the recipient of the George G. Hackman Prize in Religious Studies in May of 2018. Jesse also led a team Bible study every night before each game throughout his career. As the Lord was growing Jesse's faith throughout college, he felt that God was calling him to full-time ministry. His experiences as president of the FCA at Wagner and as an FCA intern in New Jersey during the summers confirmed the calling God was placing on his life. Jesse has a heart for coaches and athletes and sees FCA as an amazing platform to share the gospel in the public schools. His mission is to be a disciple who makes disciples by engaging, equipping, and empowering high school and middle school coaches and athletes to do the same. Jesse is blessed to be serving in the Greater Fairfax North region as an Area Representative.
